Food was excellent, but pricey. Nice ambiance. NO music, which was wonderful. Waitress readily accommodated certain food substitution requests. Service was a little slow, but I attribute that to a busy pre-Christmas Friday crowd. Our waitress was excellent.

Wonderful lunch all around! A great table by the window overlooking Central Park. Our waiter was perfect - interesting and attentive but not intrusive. The food was delicious - squash soup, arancini with white truffles, the cauliflower steak, little gem salad with chicken, and an incredible hazelnut mousse. Just a perfect lunch.

The food was great! The view was beautiful. The host was amazing. While the water was refilled constantly, we were disappointed the waiter never returned to refill our tea. At $6 a glass that’s disappointing. He did reappear near the end of the meal to see if we wanted dessert, which we didn’t, and by then we didn’t bother to ask for a refill. Nonetheless, the food, the view, the experience of dining at The Met, and the super kind and engaging host made this an altogether win and we’d revisit this venue again.

The food was excellent. I had salmon with salad, and my niece ordered the vegan cauliflower steaks. Our appetizer, the vegan hummus plate, was a work of art. Our server was on another level, and I wish I could have reviewed her with 10 stars. She was excellent, and went above and beyond to make sure our luncheon was perfect.

The service team was very attentive and made us feel special. The presentation of the food was so special that it rivaled restaurants that cost $400 each. I’m disappointed with the bread offering. The last time we were at the restaurant, there were bread choices, and they were warm. Yesterday, there was no choice. The server placed the bread on the plate, which was not warm. My guests enjoyed the salmon and rib. However, my duck entree was 60 percent fat, and you can hardly see the side dish. Overall, it was an enjoyable lunch.

We love the Met Dining Room, and this visit was no exception. Very good food, great service, good food options (we didn't want anything big), and a yummy dessert. Great views out towards Central Park and the New York skyline. A real treat to have a nice meal while visiting the Met's wonderful Siena show.
