We arrived and sat promptly, ordered by 605, food arrived not even 7 mins later. I ordered a filet well done, it came to the table charred on the outside and bleeding on the inside. I also ordered a side paid extra since a side does not come with your $25 steak of au gratin potatoes, they were burnt to a crisp. I ate those while my steak was being addressed. The steak returned more charred looked like a coal of charcoal and cut into it still bleeding. I took two bites and could t make myself eat it, my 15 year old son wanted to taste the steak and said it tasted like charcoal. I would rather go to village tavern and pay the same money and actually have an alcoholic beverage, a side that automatically comes with your meal for the price we paid tonight: three sodas, two cheeseburgers no sides a 4 oz filet paid additional for au gratin potatoes total bill $79.00 That is absurd. In and out at this establishment in 29 minutes- total. I can’t eat fast food that fast and this is supposed to be fine dining. Never again.

Was seated within our reserved time drinks were great wife had a strawberry margarita on the rocks she said was fantastic. Started with a potato skin appetizer unlike any potato skin I’d ever had. I ordered the Ribeye cook perfectly with side of Brussels sprouts that were unbelievably good. Wife had cheese tortellini said best she’d ever had. Our server was polite and on the spot when we needed anything. Great place we will be back!

Food and service delicious!! Will definitely return! They don’t have desserts on the menu but will tell you what they offer. I did order a piece of chocolate cake to go and was surprised it was $20.00 I will say it was a very large piece though.

We had an amazing experience at the Mercantile. We had a reservation for 8:15, but we were a little early so we had a drink at the bar while we waited. It was just a few minutes later and we were seated. We started with the appetizer bread, and it was delicious. My husband ordered the ribeye, which was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I got the grouper and it was hands down the best fish I’ve ever had. The service was on point. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Our steaks were cooked to absolute perfection, the crab cakes were melt in your mouth and the au gratin potatoes were excellent. Overall my first visit was 10/10. Small dining area, vintage type of feel but I think that makes for a better, unique dining experience. Can’t wait to go back again soon!

Table was ready when we arrived. Service was excellent. Our food was delivered within 15 minutes and was delicious, I highly recommend the Grouper Orleans. Will definitely return to try other dishes..
