Our experience was just as special as we were hoping. The service was attentive and timely. (I wish I could remember her name but she was the perfect level of personable!)

They were running close to an hour behind on reservations so it created a fairly stressful, chaotic, and frustrating environment until we were seated. After that it felt like we did a lot of waiting between courses, which if that was the case across the board it would make sense why they were running behind. The staff did the best they could with the situation but it was still ultimately disappointing considering the $300 price tag without alcohol. The Meltmallows are a cute addition to the add-on options.

We didn’t get seated until an hour after our reservation. We were initially told there would be a 20-30 minute delay, but after waiting 40 minutes, we had to call and were then informed it would be another 20-30 minutes. This seemed to be a management or scheduling issue, with poor communication between staff and customers. Had we been informed of the delay before arriving, we could have adjusted our plans accordingly, which would have made the wait much more manageable. That said, our server was incredibly sweet and attentive, despite it being clear that the entire staff was overwhelmed and overworked from what seemed like a hectic and poorly managed evening. The food was solid, and the drinks were good, though the pricing felt a bit steep considering the delays. None of this was the fault of the waitstaff, who did their best under tough circumstances, but overall, the experience felt very poorly planned and managed.

Jason was fantastic. Explained everything well. Great sense of humor! Very good at working the table. Drinks never went empty. Good at getting to the table to ask if we ever needed anything. One of the better wait staff I have ever had in my life. Made the experience top notch. Hard to find great people that take pride in their work like this.

This restaurant was 45 min behind on seating people. We checked in and originally told us that we would have to wait 20-30 min to get seated and we were 10 tables from being seated. We then waited 30 min and walked downtown and got some drinks at a nearby restaurant, where I called 25 min after we originally checked in and was told that it would be another 10-20 min. So we waited 15 min and came back and checked in at the desk, and were told that we were 7 tables away, which I thought was odd because we had waited around 45 min from our original reservation time. And was told it might be another 20 minutes. Now I’m diabetic and pregnant, so that means I need to keep my blood sugar levels in check and by this point, my levels were plummeting. The staff then told us that we were able to be seated. When we got seated we immediately ordered, and we didn’t get our cheese (1st entree) until a 38 min after we were seated… This was one of the longest dinners that we had for a “4 course meal” and we have had 18+ courses at sushi restaurants. And we definitely were definitely not trying to stay at this restaurant for an extended period of time. When we were eating our main meal, a server turned off our burner halfway through finishing the main course— which was interesting… he just turned it off, asked us if we were still eating, and he turned it off when we said yes. Our bill didn’t arrive until 2 hours and 15 minutes after we made our first order. Timeline Reservation: 8:15 pm Seated: 9:00 pm Ordered: 9:12 pm Course 1: 9:50 pm Salad: 10:20 pm Main Course: 10:45 pm Dessert: 11:15 pm We were effectively in town for 3 hours due to long wait times to be seated and to eat. I do not recommend coming to this establishment on Valentine’s Day, due to the sheer volume of reservations that this restaurant has which their staff cannot accommodate.

This is hard for me to write down. My wife and I have been coming to the Louisville Melting Pot 1-2 times a year since we got engaged in 2001. It’s always been a good experience. Last night was a complete bust. We were seated 35 minutes late, seated at a table that was kinda stinky, waited a good while for service throughout our meal, and took 2.5 hours to complete our meal due to the slow service. Despite giving feedback along the way the bill arrived without a penny of consideration for the poor experience. For a $200+ meal I’d think there would be room for a modest bill adjustment to reflect the overall service experience - which the staff acknowledged wasn’t great. It was just a disappointment after so many years of good experiences. It may even make my wife and I look elsewhere for our special meals together.

The food was great, the atmosphere was awesome. A bit costly for a drink from the bar, $20 for an Old Fashioned. Our waitress was knowledgeable and friendly, but some of the things we asked for were forgotten and had to be asked for twice. Our two meals and one martini racked up a $330 tab after tip, so a spendy night out for supper which will keep this restaurant on the list for only very special occasions.

The service was great and the food good. The valentines menu was very limited. They gave us a free stuffed animal and a rose which was a nice touch. Everyone was very friendly.

First time at a melting pot. Fun date night for the bf’s bday. I got the pacific rim and it was all super good, especially the duck! The desserts were amazing and our server Taylor was very sweet. Great experience, thank you!

Overall we had a nice time. A little disappointed that the teddy bear and flowers were not on the table as ordered for my wife. When asked the young lady blamed this app. We did finally get them about a half hour later. When the bill came I half expected to see them comped or discounted at least. But instead, I was double charged for both. The waiter was quick to correct the extra charge but come on you both can do better. Thank goodness the waiter was very attentive and the food was amazing as well.
