Obliging staff gave excellent service but didn’t hover, which was good. Food and drinks were great. Nice ambience. Seats could be a little more comfortable. Overall, 9/10 .. I keep going back so must tick the main boxes.

Lovely venue, food was good, although not a lot of gluten free to choose from, but what i had was very good. Great wine and coffee. 👍

The food was lovely, but not a wide selection provided. Service was OK. Ambience is the main thing missing as it's a bit like sitting in a shed. Needs more decoration and better lighting to make it feel a bit more cosy. I think it is a bit noisy because it's all open and echos a bit. I would definitely not go here if I was on a date.

Always an excellent experience at this cafe.. It’s an easy process being seated, ordering etc.. Staff always happy to help. It has a great range of food for Breakfast or Lunch whichever you feel like..

4 of us had breakfast at the Coffee Merchant Benalla and found the venue to be very inviting, plenty of room between tables, yummy food available and lovely staff. Thank you

The Merchant is a great new option for eating in Benalla. It’s an open and fresh space. Our lunch was delicious 😋
