Welcome to The Longs At Steeple Ashton

Set in a 16th century courthouse with an English heritage feel in the picturesque village of Steeple Ashton. We pride ourselves on offering a friendly welcoming atmosphere to all. We focus on seasonal produce and provides a warm welcome to everyone, including four-legged friends. Our chefs have an obsessive commitment to offering the finest pub food delivering a memorable culinary experience.

Our large, rear garden is a sanctuary for all. Open in the warmer months, we offer an al-fresco dining experience complete with covered pegodas, heaters and deckchairs.

The Longs is located in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside - a stone's throw away from many local attractions and landmarks. From exploring ancient ruins and stately homes to hiking through scenic trails, there are lots of interesting activities for those looking for things to do in this idyllic corner of England.

    We had a lovely evening with delicious food! I would highly recommend the crumpet with duck confit and egg for starter and the chicken supreme for main followed by the lemon posset! All delicious 😋

    Really yummy food. We happened to book on quiz night so it was really busy in the bar area but it didn’t affect us as we were around the back. Despite being busy the service was still excellent

    A superb Sunday roast beef and vegan option. With extra gravy in a sauce jug on the plate. Plentiful portions and nice and hot. Excellent service without being overbearing and a lovely environment in the beautiful village centre.

    Lots of interesting choices on the menu, as well as lunchtime sandwiches. Very reasonably priced and the service was excellent, a really nice welcome and attentive. In all a very pleasing lunchtime visit.

    We were a table of 8, ordered mains only. Service was really slow, forgot one of the drinks with the initial order. Food took an hour to come . £18 for the vegetarian option Caesar salad is overpriced for what you get : lettuce, dressing and 4 croutons certainly not worth the money . Such a shame as we want to support our village pub

    Well above average pub restaurant. We had a very pleasant evening meal in the bright window seat at the front. We were 5 adults. The waitresses were especially friendly and helpful and made the evening all the more enjoyable.
