Our first time coming here. Was a little confusing in the rain where to go to get to the restaurant. It’s a beautiful and quiet restaurant and the food is fabulous. Our Server Audrey was amazing . Attentive but not intrusive.. she was awesome. Very little crab in the stuffed shrimp was the only flaw in a perfect dinner. Drinks were delicious, brussel sprouts were perfectly cooked as were our steaks. The espresso martini was one of the best we have had ever. While a little pricey, we will definitely be back .

We arrived just prior to our reservation time and found all tables open. We were then escorted outside in the rain and snow to the upstairs seating area above the kitchen. The server was good and was knowledgeable. The menu presented at the table didn’t match the menu we observed on the web site. The food portion was small and very expensive. When leaving we again had to exit down the metal stairs in the rain and snow just to walk back in the main seating area to exit back out to the parking lot.

We spent a delightful evening of great food, wonderful service, and angelic harp music. The harpist even played some requests for us. It will be one of our most memorable Valentine’s Day Celebrations.

It was Valentine’s Day so imagine the food and service wasn’t as great as usual. I tipped 20% but left a note for my waiter that his service kinda sucked.

Big miss on the entrees. Timing of dishes was off. Had to give reminders. Didn’t quite get the value from the bday special

It had been over half a decade since we’d been to Traders Point, but after seeing their Valentine’s Day menu, we decided it was worth making a Valentine’s Day mini weekend of it. The Harpist music was subtle enough for background, but loud enough to enjoy. Once we realized she was playing pop music songs, we enjoyed guessing them. We ordered the Valentine’s Day Flight half because my wife wanted to see how they were garnished. She really like the bold orange elder flower mimosa and lemon lavender French 75. Will try and recreate at home, you can se me the garnishes in pictures. Orange peel opened up like a rose bud in the Negroni. I had their Honey Bunch (take on a manhattan), pecans work well with Bourbon and honey, who knew? Pecan crumble garnish made it festive and change the taste. And then a Feisty Cabernet Sauvignon to go with dinner. We added a cheese and meat charcuterie board to accompany the meal. Favorite was a goat cheese from California that had Moon in the name of the creamery, we are calling to see if we can be reminded of the creamery. Their own award winning cheese was very good as well. We happily finished everything in the board. We both really like my wife’s crab stuffed shrimp starter. I had meatballs that were a little undercooked in the middle for wife’s preference, but I was quite happy. We are on opposite ends of the cooking temperature spectrum. We were both really happy with our mains. Porkchop with spiced seeet potato swisschard for her and filet with added blue cheese whipped potato brussel sprouts for me. Don’t sleep on the Ice Cream Sundae. It’s a creamery. With house made toffee crumble. Best sundae ever. She liked her cherry chocalate cheesecake, but brought most of it home. And of course on the way out, bought 2 bottles of chocolate milk to take home to the kids. If you are from out of town, always bring a cooler to Traders Point.

Went for the Valentine's day set menu ($100/pp pre-tax). The food was great. Let's make that clear up front - awesome food. We knew the cost of the meal going in, and given the cost, I had high expectations going in for food, service, atmosphere, and overall valentine's day experience. Reservation was a 5pm - they did not seem ready to go. Staff were still rushing in, the hostesses did not know who was doing what job, candles weren't lit - about the only things that seemed ready to go were the kitchen (who did great) and the harpist (who was amazing). One couple brought toddlers. Happy for them to have a valentines together, not happy I couldn't hear the harpist over excitable kiddos. Truly the staff tried their best here and I can't fault them for their attempts. The real dampener though was the constant attempt at up-selling us every time the waiter checked in (remember - it was already a $200 + tax meal from the get go). Every check-in was an upsell push - would you like to add two additional $6 dollar sides, would you like to add the $40 cocktail flight, oh you both want a glass of wine @$16/piece - which we didn't - would you like to try a different wine with the next course...) - First words at each check in were an upsell. It was like I had to be on guard the whole night and just couldn't enjoy the evening with what we ordered. Food was great. Harpist great. Wait staff disappointing. Worth $200 base price for going on Valentine's? No. Not worth the extra investment to go on the holiday.
