   We both chose the set menu. 3 courses with good options was excellent value for money. The prawn cocktail was particularly good. The highlight was the sticky toffee dessert which I can honestly say is the best I have ever had. Choices for the main course were not overly exciting but beautifully presented. I opted for the haddock served in a cheese sauce which I enjoyed. The service was excellent, friendly but non intrusive. The dining room was full yet we were served promptly and made to feel welcome. The dining room itself is a special treat overlooking the lake.

   Lovely family afternoon tea with a spectacular view of Lake Windermere. Great service and attention was provided by the bar supervisor, Martin. He made our group feel especially welcome.

    We had originally booked into the restaurant but ended up choosing to stay in the lounge for dinner. It was absolutely spectacular atmosphere, and the food was great, as was the service. And the views are second to none. Highly recommend!
