   Food was tasty, we had brisket of beef which was well cooked and very tasty but felt another vegetable would have made it more filling plate

   We were disappointed that cod and chips was not available as this is much preferred to haddock. Previously cod has been available. Bar/restaurant was pleasantly busy. My wife's chicken burger (alternative to fish and chips) was very, very dry and inedible. The waitress was very helpful and it was agreed to have a beefburger instead. This arrived nicely covered in cheese sauce but upon cutting it through the centre was red raw and most definately inadvisable to eat. This rather put the kibosh on the meal with friends given one of us basically just had salad and chips. The Boars has always been excellent and to be fair the Kings Head before has been ok but I doubt we shall risk it in the future.

   Best pub food in the area - in my opinion. Great service. Mice atmosphere. Excellent food. Definitely returning soon.

   Food very nice, it was very busy so did have to waait quote a while but we didn’t mind that. I was seated next to a window and a radiator the window was letting in so much draght and the radiator was stone cold so I was very cold which I hate when I go out

   Great to see pub/restaurant so busy. Nice welcome and.friendly throughout. Food delicious, we had the pork roast. We would debate whether one slice of pork warranted the current price of £19 and particularly (as is the case nowadays for some absurd reason) sides of either cauliflower cheese, red cabbage were £3.50 each for a good helping. Where we sat was a bit draughty, more noticeable as it was a near freezing day. However, overall, a good experience and will return, but hey watch those pork slices!

   Food excellent as always. Top place for Sunday lunch in a wonderful old pub setting. Waiting staff work very hard.
