"The Jellied Eel is a unique cocktail bar located in the Grade II listed, Art Deco interior of Manze’s pie and mash shop on Walthamstow Market. We’re open every Friday and Saturday night for inventive cocktails, gourmet croquetas and delicious Mediterranean small plates. The beautiful and historic interior and intimate wooden booths are a perfect match for a quiet drink or a raucous birthday celebration, and everything in between. On warm evenings, our secret courtyard garden is a cool escape for an al fresco cocktail.

It was a good experience to see how a traditional Pie & Mash ship could convert to a ‘Cocktail Bar’, it was a nice atmosphere and the cocktails were okay. My only complaint was there wasn’t a lot of choice in the cocktails.

The food is very overpriced for what it is. The cocktails are great. Staff are friendly. It was freezing inside, I had to keep my coat on the whole time. It is a really cool building and fun space to be in.

Lovely vibe, quite busy and noisy but fun atmosphere. Benches are a little small for larger bottoms so can be uncomfortable at times and only one toilet for the whole venue. Food was amazing, delicious and hot, best potato croquettes I've ever tasted. Yummy cocktails too!!!

Wonderful slice of history, washed down with sublime cocktails and a side order of mouth watering delicacies - would definitely recommend.

Food and drinks are top notch and reasonably priced - billing system struggled to cope with half price promotion I think so caused some confusion but staff are very friendly and professional so sorted with no drama. I was probably harsh on three stars for service because of that.

We loved this place! The setting was so unique and the cocktails, as well as bar food, were so tasty. The staff were smiley and friendly - it's an amazing little place to head to at the weekend in Walthamstow and we will be back!
