   We enjoyed the food at first service was a bit slow but after it was excellent We thought what we ordered for food and drink As it was a three of us was a bit high. Mmm

   Service at the Ivy is second to none - staff are wonderful. The food is great and beautifully presented - just wish they wouldn't serve the beans separately on the breakfast - impossible to eat from the little pan. Lovely touch was the exquisite profiterole complete with candle that arrived at the end in celebration of my husbands birthday.

   We visited The Ivy in Cambridge for Sunday lunch as a family of five. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, with a stylish and relaxed ambience that makes for a pleasant dining experience. The service was polite and attentive, but unfortunately, they held plates of hot food above the children in high chairs which is always a big no no and the food did not live up to expectations. Most of the dishes arrived lukewarm at best, which was particularly disappointing for a Sunday roast. The roast chicken, in particular, lacked flavour and was quite underwhelming. Given the reputation of The Ivy, we expected something much better. While the presentation was nice, the overall quality did not justify the £155 final bill, which felt steep for what we received. Overall, a lovely setting, but the food needs improvement, especially when considering the price point.

   Our meal was fine, there were no issues, but it was grossly overpriced for what we had. One of our party asked if they could have some mushrooms with their steak instead of a sauce and were told no. The chips were not homemade. If we'd had this meal in a pub for a third of the price, we'd be happy but there was nothing to make it special or different. They automatically put a 12.5% service charge on.
