   We visited The Ivy in Cambridge for Sunday lunch as a family of five. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, with a stylish and relaxed ambience that makes for a pleasant dining experience. The service was polite and attentive, but unfortunately, they held plates of hot food above the children in high chairs which is always a big no no and the food did not live up to expectations. Most of the dishes arrived lukewarm at best, which was particularly disappointing for a Sunday roast. The roast chicken, in particular, lacked flavour and was quite underwhelming. Given the reputation of The Ivy, we expected something much better. While the presentation was nice, the overall quality did not justify the £155 final bill, which felt steep for what we received. Overall, a lovely setting, but the food needs improvement, especially when considering the price point.

   Our meal was fine, there were no issues, but it was grossly overpriced for what we had. One of our party asked if they could have some mushrooms with their steak instead of a sauce and were told no. The chips were not homemade. If we'd had this meal in a pub for a third of the price, we'd be happy but there was nothing to make it special or different. They automatically put a 12.5% service charge on.

   Me and my other half had a lovely time at The Ivy Cambridge Brasserie, food and drinks were excellent and service from Laura was great, she made our evening memorable! Thank you Laura and Ivy!

   Food quality and service didn't match my expectations for the Ivy. The small details make a huge difference: 1. We waited over 25 minutes for still and sparkling water, our cocktails arrived first. 2. They served a classic pasta dish, but we had to wait 5 minutes for Parmesan cheese. 3. The overall food quality was below average - we had to order a third main meal because the pasta was so bland and they didn't ask if we had an issue with the food, or if everything was satisfactory. On Valentines day I couldn't be bothered to complain. Certainly wouldn't rush back.

   Always love the atmosphere in The Ivy. The Valentines evening had a live jazz singer. Lovely set menu And the boxed forever rose was such a lovely finishing touch
