   Sunday roast was very good, amongst the best roast pork I’ve had, tender and tasty. Very good size roast, plentiful but not silly big or wasteful. The gravy was thick and tasty, none of this watery rubbish! Carrots cabbage and cauliflower on the plate, all very tasty. Excellent quality and large size Yorkshire pud. Spuds perhaps the weakest link but still good enough. Partner had the beef, said it was very tasty (although quite well cooked and brown throughout which some people like, others prefer pink). Staff were very good, attentive and friendly. Roast for less than £20 is very good value currently. They also have this amazing Raspberry Sorbet for dessert which Is so creamy in style you think it’s ice cream! It isn’t but it really is very different to a an old fashioned icy sorbet and very good. I’ve had it in a few local places and it’s always the same! Fabulous. Partner had sticky toffee pudding with the butterscotch ice cream, said it was really tasty and again a really good size, not too big! Only real negative for me is it’s very popular and busy on Sunday (which in itself is great for a local pub/hospitality business) and therefore you’re a bit rammed in. This affects the ambience. We arrived after and left before the 2 big tables either side of us and I’m not sure how they would have got out easily with our table “nestled” between them. I didn’t feel very nestled, just squashed unfortunately! It probably would’ve been better if we were a table of 4 rather than 2 as those had more room.

   Visited for a family lunch with relatives that had travelled from London. The waiter asked if we were ready to order shortly after the group was all sat down. We said that we needed a bit more time to review the menu, so he said that we couldn’t take too long as the table was needed after us. As a result, we felt obliged to skip starters. Food was very cold when served, which was a shame as it was good quality. We raised this straightaway with the waiter, but he didn’t do anything or seem bothered. We ordered four desserts but only three came out (the berry pudding never appeared). Because we were being hurried, we didn’t follow it up and my husband therefore missed dessert. Drinks were slow to come out as well. All the issues were entirely due to waiting staff attitude. With the right servers - bringing food out swifter - the meal would have been much nicer. A more realistic allowance of time should have been provided for us to actually enjoy the meal and I suspect we would have spent a lot more on starters, desserts and coffees.

   Usual warm welcome. Staff are lovely! Drink order taken reasonably quickly. The price of a dash of coke is extortionate and the only disappointment. The starters were very nice. Our main dishes were good, although I wish there was more choice of steak and a side portion of home made onion rings. The sweet choice was limited, but nice.

   The Buck had been recommended to me by a few friends and I now know why. Lovely pub/restaurant. Great service and fantastic food. We were seated in the snug and it was perfectly set up for our group of 7 to enjoy a meal and all talk.

   Very quiet at The Buck, to be expected so soon after Christmas. Really perfect time to catch up with an old friend. Great service from our waitress and fabulous food. It was very nice to be able to park easily in the car park, it's usually rammed which says a lot for how popular a place it is.

   We really like the Honingham Buck. Food and staff have always been superb. Today’s visit was spoilt by a large group booking where the six couples decided it was acceptable for their young children, maybe as young as 5, to sit on their own separate table. Only one parent and in particular took any notice of them. The noise and antics were intrusive and made the latter part of our stay unpleasant. At no time did 10 of the 12 parents intimate any responsibility and the staff appeared to believe this was ok. If we go back we would not risk sitting in that area again no matter how attractive it is. So we do recommend this restaurant but the concern that these sorts of situations should be deemed acceptable is a genuine one. The meal wasn’t worth the money today but only because we couldn’t hear each other speak and we couldn’t wait to leave in the end.
