The Hawthorn is a Georgian gem in the heart of Haworth, packed full of period features offering a relaxed environment to unwind with friends and family. This warm and appealing gastropub has been renovated throughout to showcase an array of local antiques including a stunning array of Barraclough clocks, homage to John Barraclough himself, Clockmaker to the Brontes, who used to live in this very building in the Georgian era.

We serve only food made using the freshest seasonal British produce and our menu changes through the weeks to reflect this.

We have a custom-made Josper charcoal grill which is the hottest indoor grill available and used by the best restaurants in the country. Cooking on the Josper ensures none of the natural moisture or flavour escapes from the food, whilst at the same time adding the distinct chargrilled taste.

    This has to be one of my new favourite places to visit. Everything about it was exceptional. The food, the service & the environment just made it absolutely perfect. We ordered the Chateaubriand (medium) and it was cooked just right. The sides & sauces were top quality too. The service staff were helpful and informative and helped create a lovely vibe throughout. 10/10 would recommend and will certainly be back.

    A lovely meal in a beautiful gastropub. Took the dog, family of 5, kids meal was loved by both kids, we ordered chateaubriand but waitress said cook wasn’t happy with it so after a slight delay they brought out a porterhouse half price along with some free starters. Which were unreal. Such a lovely gesture clearly service of the highest order, everyone happy with the meal, steak seasoned to perfection. Can’t wait to return. Thank you Hawthorn staff.

    Incredible food and service as usual, we sat upstairs for the first time and the interiors up there as downstairs are so cosy and atmospheric. The food is always colourful, seasonal and delicious and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming.

    We always love going to the Hawthorn! The service is exceptional. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Prices are fair, food is super and there is an excellent cocktail and wine list! Looking forward to our next visit. Tom

    As lovely as always. We usually have Sunday lunch so this was the first time we had eaten from the evening menu. Service was friendly and attentive. Food was excellent as were drinks choices. We will definitely return.
