   Loved everything about this place. Highly recommend. Good value too - no upcharge for subbing a very nice fruit salad for hash browns. Loved that.

   We had a reservation. We never received water the entire hour we were there; even after asking for it ourselves, meanwhile other tables didn’t have to ask and received a bottle of water upon being seated…from our same waiter. We also were seated in between two full tables in a tiny space with barely enough room for our appetizers and beverages; the table is so small that my boyfriend’s plate was halfway off the table and fell. We also had several bags with us and nowhere to hang them or place them, unlike other tables that had booths/space for bags. Our belongings were scattered across the floor. There were larger tables open, yet we were put here - why? I don’t know. We were never checked on and had to chase down the waiter in order to pay. It wasn’t busy at all. Otherwise, our appetizers were decent and drinks were pretty good. But I’ll stick to other locations. 👍

   The food is delicious. Great traditional American food breakfast options. The issue really lies with the service. It’s borderline non existent. We waited 10 minutes to get greeted. Had to ask for utensils, napkins, and water. Had to get up and find someone to ask for something and get the bill. Service is what really brings down this place. No sense of any form of management. Zero front of house. Zero hospitality. It could be spectacular but due to the lack leadership and service, it’s just good. Shoutout to the chefs though; food was on point!

   We were a party of 7, had never met before, this was a great choice as everyone was able to find something they wanted to eat. Fun lunch, great atmosphere, great staff! Overall, a great experience.

   When we showed up the restaurant was closed so I can’t give a review however it would have been nice to have been noticed they were closed since I had a reservation and traveled to be there.

   I am terribly sorry that due to a ConEd issue (which prevented the entire neighborhood from having gas) we were temporarily closed on your attempted visit. You were notified about this issue at 7pm the day before your scheduled booking via your open table account. I hope you were not inconvenienced too terribly by our unfortunate and temporary closure. Feel free to make another reservation and we would be happy to do what we can to make it up to you.

   Ambience is sort of a simple coffee shop, but the menu was varied and interesting and the food we had was all really good. We sat outside in their covered seating area which was quiet enough for easy conversation. I'm probably a being a bit generous about the whole experience because we lucked out and were there on beautiful evening, but the whole experience was great. Server was also very attentive. This isn't fine dining by any stretch, but it was a very pleasant, tasty, reasonably priced (for the city), relaxed dinner option.

    Love the Grey Dog! One of our favorite spots we visit often. Need to go there for happy hour as we've also heard great things!
