Mary Taylor’s wines are small-production and regional. This is an incredibly effortless way to start exploring wine—yes there could be a hard to pronounce region or obscure varietal, but there is no need to worry about mispronouncing them. Find a region you like and dig in! If you are seeking well made, regionally specific wines, fear not—these are the wines you’re looking for! Once you have tried a bottle with the name Mary Taylor on it, you’re sure to try another. Ticket includes seven tastings from Mary Taylor, meet and greet opportunity, and seven small bite pairings. In case of inclement weather, event will take place in the Carriage House. Must be 21+ to attend.

    Nice size shrimp on the shrimp cocktail. The presentation needs improvement. Nice size piece of cod on the fish and chips with a light breading but could have been fried a bit longer. Steak fries were great. Wine prices were over inflated. Go on Monday when bottles of wine are 50% off. Atmosphere was as expected in an older building. Cleaning around the outside of the windows is needed.

    We had made reservations and were seated promptly by the host. Our table was next to an open door to the patio. It was a breezy and chilly evening. There were four chairs at the table. Two matched, one was a different color and style, the fourth looked like a stackable cafeteria bingo chair. That one was up against the wall and my husband could barely maneuver and sit. We asked our waitress to see if we could move to one of the four other vacant tables. She told us they had reservations for all of the tables and couldn’t change ours. She suggested we ask for the manager after she told us the manager had told her that we couldn’t relocate. When the manager came to our table, she said we could move to another more comfortable seating arrangement. We ate leisurely and the ‘reserved’ tables remained unoccupied. We never should have been seated at a table that appeared to be thrown together at the last minute. Poor planning! Our server was wonderful and the food delish!

    Both the Tavern and Dining Room are good choices. Good menu choice. Excellent service. Tavern can be a bit noisy during Happy Hour on Friday. One of the best Bourbon selections around.
