   A busy lunchtime midweek gives you an idea of how popular the Gate is. Booking is advisable and the Service, as always, is second to none. Food is very good. Overall, the Gate has become our 'go to' venue when pasta or pizza is the food of choice!

   We’ve always enjoyed the Gate previously, but on this visit the food order was messed up with a Seafood Risotto delivered to the table instead of linguine. Also the Gnocchi order was misleading on the menu. Overall it was good but not outstanding as it has been previously.

   Love the Gate, went today as Sunday lunch had been advertised. Disappointed they have discontinued Sunday lunches due to demand for normal menu? Maybe a set Sunday lunch menu be an alternative with some of top sellers off normal menu on it 🤔 Overall experience good an food excellent.

   A disappointing evening. Booked well in advance for a party of 6 at 7pm. Initial drinks order taken and served quickly. We then waited for our food order to be taken for over half an hour and had to ask for someone to take it. Starters eventually arrived at 7.50. At 8.50 we asked if our main courses might be arriving soon and they duly arrived at 9pm. Food was good when it finally arrived but by then I, as the host, was apologising to the rest of the party. It was also difficult to get top up drinks. I don’t think we will be returning which is a shame as many reviews seem favourable.

   A very good all round experience, excellent food and service in particular the Gnocchi 'house signature dish' is exceptional.

   Lovely meal on Mother’s Day, plenty of room around the table & very comfy sitting for 2 elderly parents, we wernt rushed & the staff went out of their way to be helpful, delicious food too ….. highly recommended
