Food absolutely brilliant and we’re willing to amend things for a picky eater. Went for a folk night event, so it was busy, but the staff were still welcoming and lovely. Can’t wait to go again!

We love The Fleece but we had to wait far too long for the food and it wasn’t as wonderful as all of our previous experiences

First experience at the Fleece Inn and was very excited. We got greeted at the bar by a lady working alone, she seemed annoyed and refused to make me a hot drink because she was overwhelmed (there was only two other people in the queue behind us). She also served two locals before us that were sat down on the bar stools after we had waited patiently in a small queue. That’s two things that killed the experience within 10 minutes. She gave us wrong information about where the menus were and we ended up walking around the grounds trying to find them. No organisation, could be a better process for ordering food as the entrance to the restaurant/ bar gets very full and you end up having to queue outside. Other than that, the food was lovely and homemade, clean and a very nice place to be if you love historical places, in a nice quiet town away from hustle and bustle. Very picturesque and great garden seating areas that are unique. Never been refused for a hot drink before, this has put me and my partner off visiting for a while.
