The Drexel is a sophisticated yet quaint, modern Mediterranean restaurant in Miami Beach. Named after the iconic street and built on the corner of a historical 1920’s village, The Drexel will transport you to the bygone era of Miami Beach.

Chef Nano Crespo brings his signature rustic, straight forward cooking style to The Drexel. Offering clean flavors from the charcoal grill and wood oven, the menu includes house made pasta and pizza with a heavy emphasis on locally sourced seafood and an entire section dedicated to vegetable dishes. The Drexel also features a uniquely curated wine list with boutique wines from Greece, France, Spain, and Italy. The cocktail list will thrill lovers of libations with favorites like The Drexel Margarita, made with mezcal, in-house organic infused agave with fresh citrus, and a toasted coconut salt rim that lets your mind drift off to a beachfront moment.

This restaurant is a real gem in Miami Beach. While it may not be the newest, hippest and most fashionable-of-the-moment place, the food is exceptional, as is the service. We’re food snobs and this place is our number 1 go to restaurant.

We really enjoyed the Drexel. The crab cakes we had as appetizers were among the best I’ve ever had, and my Branzino was moist and delicious. Our server was prompt, friendly, and helpful. The noise level was not the thrumming music elsewhere on Espanola Way, but just the happy chatter of grown ups having a good time.

Very poor service - waited 10 minutes, no server. Flagged someone down to let them know, another 5 minutes for water, five minutes before drink order. 20 minutes before we ever saw a waiter or were greeted. Messed up the drink order & they gave attitude when questioned about it. They weren't that busy AND I had reservations. Then charged 20% for poor service. The food quality does not make up for the poor service.

Whoever the manager that night during the gas leak needs to work on customer service. To not even acknowledging us at hostess desk and not helping us to her extremely poor attitude at our table explaining the situation. She turned us off from coming again and this is a usual place we go and take visitors too

Bridget , the manger saved the day! Of course Christmas Eve was a busy night and reservations were flooding in but we have been to The Drexel before and we know it’s worth the wait. Martina the server took great care of us the minute we sat down and was always there for us when we needed her . We had the whole chicken , tuna carpaccio , hummus, mussels , pasta for the kids ! An amazing Christmas Eve feast! Bartenders are on point with our Negronis and my special request for a drink called le veux carre! It is a great spot for a local to feel like you have been taken out of Miami Beach and into a different world. You guys did great last night ! No pressure no diamonds!
