We did the Thanksgiving experience which was a buffet of the traditional fixings and accompaniments to start and finish a holiday meal. The food was good. We really liked all the selections of salad, soups and deserts.
A few things I hope they learn from to improve these events in the future…The reservation process on OpenTable was confusing and the hotel didn’t count the “add-on children” as seats at our table. That caused me stress when the confirmation kept coming over as 4 instead of 6 and I couldn’t get through to anyone on the phone in the days leading up to Thanksgiving. When we arrived, they had us as a party of 4 even though I paid for 6. The prime rib was cut too thick and they didn’t have steak knives so it was difficult to eat. The beverage service was lacking. No pitchers on the table, only alcohol available at the bar, otherwise had to ask for water, tea and soda, and continue to ask for refills. A simple pitcher of water on the table would have sufficed. The desert platters were not marked so every piece was a surprise - although all were delicious! The ambiance was a hotel ballroom. Our centerpiece was too tall to have conversations across the table so we ended up moving it. They attempted to play music a couple times but it was turned up too loud so it was turned off.
Overall, we enjoyed our first Thanksgiving at a restaurant. The hotel lobby is beautiful.
