   Sit at the bar for the best experience. The staff on the floor has zero idea what’s going on. Made a reservation for a table and they tried to seat us at a high top, luckily it was next to the bar. No waiter ever showed so I asked the bartender for water and drinks. She took over service of our table and we had great food & drinks. Live music and a crowd for Gasparilla made for a lively spot.

   We were seated and given food menus within a very reasonable amount of time after arriving. The host was gracious and welcoming as was the server that offered us water and indicated our own server would be following up with us shortly. After about 10 minutes, we flagged down someone to request a drink/wine menu. A few minutes later our dedicated server came up and apologized for the delay. From our perspective, it appeared that he'd not been told there was a table assigned to him until just before he came over, as we'd seen him making his way through the room checking on other guests, passing us by. As we observed other patrons, there seemed to be a sense of frustration in the timeliness of service and how the food was sub-par, but every server I noticed or encountered was very hospitable and professional. It was more of a continuous state of apologies, making up for issues in the back of the house. Martini's were fine, although a little heavy on the vermouth; with a price tag of $25 EACH. I've had many of the same martini's, with the same liquor, and none ever reached that threshold. The entrees were perfectly ok, but nothing I'd order again. It's a very nice setting in a downtown hotel that hosts conferences so the price points for beverages and dining are geared toward "work trip business accounts". If traveling and staying in the hotel, by all means make a night of it; you'll enjoy the feel and the crowd. If you're local and looking for a night out, there are plenty of options in the area to choose from.

   Fantastic atmosphere with live jazz. Not too crowded but enough people to feel lively early on a Saturday night. Stopped for dinner before a performance at the Straz.Salmon was delicious and burger good too. Fries were so so. The vibe made up for it though!

   Started with the bar tender charging me for 11 beers and other drinks when I ordered 2 beers and two cocktails totaling over $135. They had a New Years Eve menu and food was wedding food and coincidentally there was a wedding. Plated and served as a mass produced meal. Delicious but nothing special and convenient for them. Service was trash. Waited over 20 min to order a drink and the waitress kept saying I’ll be right there (4 times). I was given a half glass of water the entire time there while they had helpers walking around with their hands in their pockets. Manager was nice but catering but not in charge of his restaurant.

   We went on New Year’s Eve and they were swamped. Our original server didn’t great us for almost 20 minutes (despite checking in on our neighboring table several times over that time period) and we overheard her trying to get the host to take us so she could take a larger table that got seated after us. That aside, the manager, Daniel, ended up coming over and helping us after he noticed that we hadn’t even been given water and he was FANTASTIC. Super nice and friendly. Didn’t make excuses. Checked in on us several times and also took our order and made sure everything came out well. He SAVED our experience. We were there to celebrate our anniversary and before he came over, we were actually ready to just leave and grab fast food on the way home. We’re very glad we didn’t. Once he got our order in, food and drinks came quickly. The food was EXCELLENT. We will definitely be back to give them a second chance on service. We can’t say enough about how well Daniel handled the situation and how good the food was. (Order the sea bass, you don’t be disappointed)

   Went for Christmas dinner Had a drink and ordered to find out only well done prime rib was left Poor planning We left and went back to epicurean hotel for a good dinner there

    Even though we had a reservation, the hostess seemed to not know what to do with us and showed us to a very undesirable table. We asked for a better table, which she accommodated. The restaurant was VERY cold. The server, Michael, was very attentive and helpful. The food (Tuscan soup and short ribs) was very good.
