   My husband and I had an excellent time at the cuteater celebrating my birthday. We booked a table for a Tuesday evening and it was perfect. Quiet and comfortable. The service was outstanding and we felt cared for the entire time. The spinach and artichoke dip appetizer is delicious and we had bison and pasta entrees that were savory and memorable. Can’t wait to eat here again in the future!

   My steak with the Steak Frites was incredibly chewy with gristle and fat. Only roughly half of the 12 oz steak was good. The fries seemed like potato wedges I could get at the hot food section at the grocery store. I would’ve loved a bigger portion of arugula. For the price it was disappointing. Our server was top notch and the view was beautiful. Really wonder if I had ordered the Chicken Marsala or soup it would’ve been a different story. My partner had a side of salmon and it was smaller than expected but tasty. He also enjoyed the house salad.

   Steak was cooked as expected and was good. The pesto pasta had a little too much balsamic for my liking. the waitress was very good and the dessert was very good

   Waitress never checked back after food was delivered. She was professional but not friendly. I had to ask hostess for coffee. Salad was drenched with salt. Lettuce was not edible. My friend’s food was fine. Presentation was quite nice. I’ve been to this establishment many times. This is the first time service and food was subpar.

   I really enjoyed my experience at Cut Water. It has become somewhat of a tradition to visit the shore lodge for my birthday and this last time was probably my best experience yet! I requested a seat facing the lake which I didn’t have to remind staff, we were sat promptly, our waiter was very attentive, kind and accommodating to my dietary restrictions. I also loved the birthday cupcake I received. She also put us at ease knowing we had appointments coming up at the cove spa after our meal, making sure we were taken care of.

   We visited at 5:15 on Friday night. One table next to us was loudly talking. The burger is excellent. I don’t care for the arugula salad as I prefer romaine or a mixed salad. The chili was good but the bean and potato soup had been emulsified and wasn’t good. Our service was excellent! And of course the view of the lake is wonderful!
