The Curlew in Bodiam, a former 17th century Coaching Inn has reopened it's doors as a gastro pub in September 2023. Serving a variety of British and european classics with locally sourced produce. Situated right on the way to the historical Bodiam Castle it's the perfect stop for lunch, dinner or a drink in the garden.

Superb food -- one of the best meals I've had in the local area. Lamb chop and beef fillet were real highlights. Friendly, warm and welcoming, with drinks by a cosy fire. More of a gastro pub so different from most pubs in the area -- in a good way: remarkable quality and attention to detail. We will be back soon!

Excellent in every way. Friendly service with just the right level of attentiveness. And the food! The beef roast dinner was one of the best I’ve had in a restaurant and the Spiced Pumpkin Tart and Raspberry Pavlova.. amazing!

Another superb Sunday lunch. Two friends, who have been wanting to go also managed to join us this time. They were greatly impressed with the meal and said it had lived up to their expectations from all they have heard.
