We had a mixed experience at the restaurant. The food was amazing! Highlights included: - Shishito peppers (appetizer) - amazing - Crunchy hamachi roll (entree) - amazing - Miso salmon (entree) - amazing - Scallion pancakes (side) - must order!!! - Asparagus (side) - really good! - A salad (name unknown) However, the service was disappointing. Our entrees arrived 10+ minutes apart, preventing us from eating together. Additionally, our server forgot to ring in a couple of cocktails, which we ultimately decided not to order due to the long wait. The experience ended with a frustrating delay, leaving us eager to leave.

While the food was good, the live music was way too loud. We asked to be seated away from the musicians, but after being sat, we were re seated right next to the musicains speakers. This totally ruined any hope of conversation with the group I was with. There were several other tables we could have been seated at. We were told this was necessary due to a large party that was coming in after we got there.

Enjoyed this dinner. We went here because it seemed to be one of few “fancier” restaurants in the area and had vegetarian options for my partner. She liked her Japanese curry with tofu. I did not love my tuna maki - it said there would be avocado in it and there wasn’t and the carrots and sesame sort of dominated the flavor profile for me. I enjoyed the MaiTais. I thought it was a bit overpriced but the portions were pretty large so we left we extra food. My partner took a strawberry cheese pie to go and said it was very good. I liked the open air environment and the live music was a nice touch. The service was good/efficient. Overall, would recommend trying it if you want a fancy-ish dinner in the area.

A stunning location both inside and out! The food presentation was beautiful as well. The 4 of us shared the Ahi roll, spicy hamachi roll, kimchi fried rice, hamachi kama, and BBQ chicken. The rolls were a good size and the fish was very fresh. The kimchi fried rice was disappointing in taste and very small (small soup bowl sized for $28!). BBQ chicken was very tasty but it was a small portion for the price (~single deboned thigh a la carte for $18). Overall we had a great experience, our friend thoroughly enjoyed her birthday, and the service was excellent. If the higher prices compared to other similar quality foods are for the venue and presentation, it’s was worth it for this special occasion.

All around great experience. We were 21 people and the service didn’t miss a beat. Many restaurants could take a page from their book! Food was great. I have traveled all over the world, this one really gets it right! Debbie

Beautiful atatmosphere, close to home delicious food.. Would like to see maybe a happy hour menu in the future. If I recall they discount on shareable menu on Mondays... Would love to bring back some kind of Kaamaina discount for the locks... Mahalo
