   The prices have risen as they have everywhere. But, £19 for a burger! Was listed online as £17 this week. Another venue in town offers the Chicken Schnitzel with a sauce for £16 compared to TCY charging £22 and no sauce. They also have 2 of the cheapest cuts of meat on the menu sometimes which are 2 of the most expensive meals offered, brisket and pork belly. Having owned a butchers shop we know the cost of the meat, well overpriced in TCY. Food today was quite good but nothing that elicited a "wow". Service was very good however, the staff were helpful and cheerful, thanks for their service which we all appreciated.

   Lamb roast was exceptional. Lots of vegetables, lots of gravy. All very hot.

   This place is fine, but not I suspect as good as whoever manages it thinks it is. The service is enthusiastic but haphazard and there isn't enough attention to detail - like being given a menu without a menu actually in it. The cocktails were poor, my partner had a mojito that tasted soapy, probably because of cheap ingredients. The food - not at all bad, but verging on over-priced. The highlight of the evening was when a vacant neighbouring table set on fire after a paper napkin came into contact with a candle. Not something that happens every day. Bad luck or attention to detail when the table was cleared?

   Excellent roasts as usual, fantastic service from a lovely young team of happy servers - what a difference that makes! Wonderful music from Kevin Richard’s which added to the ambience. Can’t wait to come back.

    I absolutely love The Courtyard, it's my favourite place to eat out in Deal. The food is amazing, the service brilliant and the whole ambience about the place is so relaxed and comfortable.
