Established in 2012, The Cottage Bar and Kitchen has become a Balmain institution. The expansive courtyard is the perfect urban oasis to enjoy a tipple while the beautiful heritage facade hides one of the best cocktail bars in the inner west and a plethora of cosy spaces to settle in and relax.

                                                                                                                      First time and lived up to expectations. We were lucky enough to get a table for dinner outside, with the heaters to keep us warm. Food, service all very good. We enjoyed the arancini, brussel sprouts, pizzas. Will definitely return.

                                                                                                                      This was my first time dining at The Cottage and I absolutely loved it. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and quaint, lots of ambiance. Great service, attentive wait staff who took great care of us. And the food! Great variety of options on the menu, including vegetarian options. We tried 4 of the shared plates, 3 different mains and 2 desserts and every single thing we had was delicious! Plus they have a comprehensive wine list to go with the food, featuring lots of high quality wines. Will definitely be returning, what a gem!

                                                                                                                      We don’t come here often but it was always a treat. The food was wonderful. Sadly, since a new simplified menu some years ago, the food has been average, nothing to really complain about but certainly not special anymore. I did send the french fries back as they arrived cold. I must say that they were very good about that and replaced them willingly and did not charge us for them.
