Everytime I go here the food is excellent. I’ve had the breakfast sandwich, eggs Benedict, and most recently the salmon bagel. Everything has been a 10/10. The “Bloody Larry” is the best Bloody Mary in the city.

The Commoner’s kitchen knows what they’re doing, and it shows in every dish. The menu is straightforward but executed with real attention to detail and bold, well-balanced flavors. It’s clear the chefs here care about the details, from technique to balance on the plate.Service is friendly and efficient, the drinks are well-crafted, and the atmosphere is lively but comfortable. No gimmicks, just seriously good food made by a team that knows what they’re doing.

We had a great time for my birthday. I have a lot of food allergies and they helped guide me through the menu. They were very cautious. They made my birthday so special.

The waitstaff were very attentive. The food was good. The ambience was very nice. The restaurant is in a hotel - which we didn't realize until we got there (perhaps we didn't do our homework). Regardless, it worked. We had a nice evening and would recommend going to this comfortable restaurant to enjoy some good food and drink.

The duck confit hash was delicious. The sweetness of the apples and cherries mixed with the savory Brussels sprouts and perfectly Poached egg along with perfectly cooked duck made my day start with perfection

We recently dined at The Commoner and had an excellent experience. Our server, Scott, was outstanding. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure all our needs were met promptly. The food was delicious, and Scott's recommendations were spot on. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a great meal. Overall, the service at The Commoner, especially from Scott, was top-notch, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. Also, the potatoes as an appetizer may have been the best thing I’ve tasted in my 26 years of living.

We really enjoyed the 4 course tasting menu for Valentine’s Day. It was our first time dining at the commoner but we will absolutely be going back!

This is the second time we have dined at this restaurant while visiting Pittsburgh and both times it was exceptional. Has a small menu but the dishes are very good and different. Wait staff is attentive but not pushy.
