We had a fantastic time at The Cauldron NYC. It's a very whimsical and magical place. Really cute with creative cocktails. The food was really good, although there weren't many options, it was still good nonetheless. It's more of a cocktail bar. Staff were all so fun and accommodating. Will need to book a potions experience next time

Booked a table for cocktails and food. What a cute place and outstanding service. They have a gigantic tree on top of the bar. Really cool decor. Drinks were tasty as was the food.

We booked our lunch reservation for 12:30pm on Sunday. Both their website and Open Table stated that they were open (one said they opened at 11am, the other said they opened at noon). We arrived at 12:20 and the restaurant was closed. We waited 25 minutes and it never opened. We called both phone numbers (2 different numbers on Open Table and the website). Both times, the automated phone system dropped the call once I selected to speak with someone on location. I also used their online help feature, which sent a confirmation email to me, but no one ever responded. Maybe if we lived locally this wouldn’t have been a big deal, but we’re visiting from out of town for the weekend and my family was really looking forward to this experience. Very disappointing that a business would accept reservations and then not even show up to open the restaurant for its customers.

We travelled from out of state to eat at this establishment. Our disappointment was beyond words. The pub area had an overwhelming stench, the tables were marred and the stools had tears. The majority were high top with only one low table available. The floors appeared dirty composed of chipped and broken tile. The bathroom was not clean. We did not stay to eat. I would not recommend.

I was very disappointed. I was visiting from GA to NYC and was looking forward to a karaoke experience in NYC and the cauldron. As we walked in it was empty and not greeted in the best way. They didn't know about my reservation which i made way in advance. Then they said they cancelled karaoke but did not contact me. So we wasted a Lyft ride to the cauldron. I also asked a question about a wand service i saw on the website and the bartender had noooooo idea what i was even speaking about. Just not a pleasant experience. They asked if we wanted to have a drink but with how rude they were, my best friend and i decided to leave.

Our drinks were disgusting, our server seemed completely confused by the idea that we'd made a reservation at all, and they add a 20% gratuity. I don't have a single nice thing to say about the dingy looking establishment.

Do not bring any birthday cake here. They brought it out still in the box and handed us a lighter with a butter knife and paper plates. They then tried to charge us $35 for a cake cutting fee which we were able to remove from the bill after arguing the charge. Also no one came to check on us once and the service was very slow/not polite.

The atmosphere itself was very nice and I would like to think that the experience would’ve been better on a different day. However, when we went, we waited an hour for just 4 drinks. We also almost got charged for multiple other drinks that different tables ordered and had to get the bill fixed more than once. Staff was inattentive but probably just because they seemed to be understaffed. They were nice when you actually spoke to them though but still overall not a great experience. We also really did not like the drinks and they closed the kitchen earlier than advertised.
