   As soon as we entered the Cat's Back at opening time on Sunday we could smell the wonderful real fire and felt its warmth. We were made to feel welcome straight away and began with a pint of Harvey's real ale for my partner and a glass of white wine for me. Once we were hungry enough we ordered slow roast beef for my partner and roast pork for me. The meat was melt-in-the mouth gorgeous and the accompaniments - gravy, Yorkshire puds, vegetables and roast potatoes - were perfectly cooked and tasty. This, one of two Harvey's pubs in London (the other is the Royal Oak in the Borough, also excellent) lives up to its address which is Point Pleasant, Wandsworth.

   A lovely warm welcome and the best roast beef I have ever had - it just melted in my mouth.
