   We traveled 2.5 hours to experience The Capital Grille which was highly recommended by our friends. We had a table of 4, we sat at the window by the kitchen which was pretty cool! Our waiter Micheal was AMAZING! We absolutely loved the atmosphere. The bread is delicious! We all 4 had different dishes involving steaks and lobster. The side dishes are family style. We picked the Lobster Mac & Cheese, creamy spinach and mashed potatoes. The French onion soup, Cesar salad and wedge salad was 10/10. The entire meal was 10/10! The gingerbread display for Christmas was so pretty! We can’t wait to return! Worth the drive and the money! I should mention the dirty goose martini & cosmopolitan martini was the best drinks we’ve had! Another mention of our server.. top notch!

   From the clam chowder to both our fish dinner for my wife and my steak the food was outstanding. Our waiter, Spiro was exceptional. If you go to Capitol Grill ask for him. Anyway, you will not be disappointed. From the reception you receive to the bus help it is top notch. Enjoy

   All good except bread. Don’t care for lavosh crackers and today’s rolls were hard as bricks. A soft moist bread would be a much better entry to a meal. Otherwise, always great.

   The maitre d was able to seat us 1 hr before our reservation which really helped our daughter who had basketball practice at WashU early the next morning. Michelle our waitress had been working since 10am and you would never know it. She was so accommodating and pleasant and refilled my daughter’s drink about 8 times. The best calamari we have ever had at Capitol Grillle. The sides did not disappoint either. 5 star experience!

   Our food and drinks were beautifully prepared. Our server Jessica was friendly and professional. We asked to sit in the bar; however, the only tables were next to the windows. Even though it was a frigid evening the air conditioning was on, making the room very cold. We asked Jessica if she would ask someone to turn on the heat. It turned on briefly, but then went back to cold air. We ordered dessert, but asked Jessica to make it to go since it was too uncomfortably cold to continue eating there.

    It was a good experience and food was good. The one item that we didn’t appreciate was ordering a wedge salad and getting a normal salad that wasn’t a wedge. When we asked, the waitress lied and said it’s not a wedge because gents in suites shouldn’t have to do too much work. Sorry it’s called a wedge salad that’s what we ordered and it was sub par.
