Please note, guest request are not guaranteed. You can request to be seated on the terrace, but it's not guaranteed as these tables are open to the elements. On a sunny day, tables are allocated outside based on the date the booking was made (early birds!) We will do our upmost to accommodate you outside if we can. Please call us on the day to see where you will be seated as special requests are not guaranteed. We have zero tolerance for aggressive behaviour.

The Boatman, is Windsor’s only pub on the river at the foot of Windsor Castle overlooking Eton Bridge. Serving freshly cooked food all day everyday from midday to 9pm at night, in the cosy bar, restaurant or in the stunning riverside all-weather conservatory, there is a fine selection of wine, ales, cocktails to choose from.
The bar area and terrace is dog friendly, we cannot accept any pets in the conservatory or restaurant.

I specified a special birthday but no notice was taken. I asked for a nice table and we were sat next to the baby high chairs. Service was robotic. Fourth visit and most disappointing.

Yet again another excellent experience. We have been coming here quite often for the last few years and they never fail. The staff and the manager are always friendly, polite, smartly dressed and provide outstanding service all round. Lovely calming relaxed environment, very clean and amazing food which is always cooked to perfection and a good price. Dog friendly which is fantastic as we always bring our dog. We can't wait to visit again. Highly recommend

Lovely meal. Dined in the outside area which was very pretty. Nice and warm, noise levels were good but it was pretty quiet.

We were a table of six that came for Sunday lunch for my birthday. We had all of the roasts covered (except vegan), a burger with all of the trimmings and a kid’s bolognaise. All the food was excellent, with good sized portions. The service was friendly and attentive but not overpowering. My only negative and I shouldn’t complain because we don’t see the sun for my birthday, in March, very often was that it got pretty warm under the glass, it would have been nice to open a few windows for air. Thanks very much for a fabulous meal.
