Located in the heart of Cuyahoga Falls, near the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and Blossom Music Center, The Blue Door Cafe now also offers an elevated but casual dinner service. Showcasing an eighteen foot poured concrete bar, more spacious and comfortable seating and many other nuanced improvements, The Blue Door offers a seasonal and rotating menu featuring charred burgers, house made pastas, hand formed dumplings, air shipped seafoods, and wagyu steaks. Everything was just average. Expected more from Blue Door. This was our first visit for dinner, have been there many times for breakfast and brunch. The French Onion Soup had no broth. Excellent taste, but no broth. I should have sent it back to have them remake it. Fish and Chips was good. Fish excellent, chips a bit mis-advertised on menu I thought. They were just fries. My girlfriend had the Smashburger and it was excellent. Server and service was so-so. Ambiance was so-so, much crowd-noise, no background music or anything. Just average overall, not what we expected from Blue Door.

I had the jagerschnitzel dinner and it was delicious with very generous portions. Highly recommend the hit mocha. Smash burger was ordered by other person in my party and it looked very good.

This was a terrific place to be on a snowy January evening. We sat a the bar, the bartender, Michael was knowledgeable about the menu, attentive, and personable. We had the schnitzel and it was perfectly crisp and juicy. Looking forward to going back soon.

We were celebrating my husband’s birthday, and they made it special from the moment we walked in, with a Happy Birthday card on our table. The service was wonderful, thanks to Alexa, Michael, and the rest of the crew, and the drinks and meals were delicious. We enjoyed the jagerschnitzel and a special - veal osso buco. Dessert was almost decadent - the chocolate soufflé - It was worth waiting twenty minutes since it is cooked to order. We came home with some pastries to enjoy in the morning as well as plenty of leftovers for tomorrow night. My husband has declared The Blue Door Cafe his new favorite restaurant.
