A locally owned and operated, modern-classic California-French Pub. We serve elevated, eclectic, locally sourced Cuisine paired with incredible wines and craft beer. We are NOW OPEN for SUNDAY BRUNCH 10am-1:30pm. Located in Old Town Santa Barbara on 18 East Cota Street, the building boasts a rich history of French restaurants and saloons dating back over a century.

We are open for Dinner Wed-Sun from 5PM. We are known for our incredible family style tasting menu’s where multiple dishes are presented to your table for each course.

    Bib salad was overdressed. Bone marrow was lukewarm and the lentils that accompanied the salmon were inedible. Someone in the kitchen poured half a container of salt. The tomato that was part of the main dish came straight from the refrigerator. Tomatoes should never be refrigerated. We requested a quiet table and the restaurant responded by saying “no problem!” The available table was right by the door, just by the reception.. The young lady serving the bar was exceptionally helpful. She rushed to find us a table, and served us champagne. The space is attractive and the service was attentive but the food was only average.

    Excellent quality and value. Creative menu and well executed. Service was top notch, from arrival to end of desert. Our favorite SB dinner spot!

    We had the pre fixe Christmas dinner. The staff was amazing! Service was outstanding. The salad was good as was the appetizer. The main entrees, salmon and beef were tasty but they were split between 3 of us and were small portions. The crème brûlée was great but tiny. The chocolate dessert was fine. We enjoyed the experience and the quality of the food.

    Wonderful Christmas evening meal—best ever! The prix-fix selections were spot-on and delicious. The service was far and above what is typical of dining out on a holiday; everyone involved at Black Sheep, from the hostess to each and every server made the experience special. Thanks Black Sheep for a great Christmas dining experience!

    We came for the 3-course Apero dinner. We added the marrow bone, which was amazing! My only complaint was that the stroganoff was too salty. The flavors were great, otherwise.

    Great food and service! Sitting inside could be loud but luckily we got a table on their back patio. Authentic French food! Highly recommend!
