The Black Horse is a cozy village pub in historical Rampton, Cambridgeshire. The pub has a reputation for its rotating selection of cask ales from independent breweries, locally produced cider, fine wines and Mediterranean style sharing menu. The menu changes with the seasons and has plenty of gluten-free and vegan options. Locally roasted coffee, artisan teas and homemade cakes are available every day to eat in or takeaway. Dog friendly throughout, with two log burners for the winter and a large beer garden for the summer - complete with pétanque pitch! There is parking on both sides of the building with step free access through the side door, however unfortunately the toilets are not fully wheelchair accessible.

Smallish village pub serving gastro type good food. Would recommend for a quiet drink and meal.

Lovely meal Saturday lunchtime. Shame it was not busier. Pork belly was delicious but crackling needed longer to crisp up. My aunt enjoyed her sea bass. The Lotus Biscoff cheesecake was yummy. Great, friendly service.

The first time we have eaten at the Black Horse and it was qute a find. The food was excellent - The Roast was tasty and well cooked and smelt of home cooking. The desert - apple and blackberry tart - was perfect. The best desert I have had in a restaurant for years. It was quiet and we could hear ourselves speak - a nice change from the hectic, big gastopubs nearer Cambridge. Well worth the drive from Norfolk.

Food was very well presented and the portions were good. Meat was cut thickly and pink - unfortunately there was quite a bit of grizzle. Would definitely go again.

The food was great Staff very friendly ,Definitely go again I had the beef and it was lovely presentation was also good wish I could make Yorkshire puddings like it and the dessert was delicious .
