A nice pub, good atmosphere and lovely service but it’s trying to do food it doesn’t seem able to live up to. I had mackerel cerviche which was like leather and then cod Kiev (£29!) which was dry and bitter - not nice. The fish and chips, beef and ale pie and burger were all very good. Stick to the ‘pub classics’ like these and you’ll have a nice time at a decent price!

The Belgian Arms never disappoints. Fantastic meal, wonderful service and nice ambience. It was very busy in the restaurant but the service was first class. Drinks were served quickly, food was brought to the table just when we were ready for it and we had plenty of time to talk and enjoy the pre-Christmas meal. This wasn’t my first meal at the Belgian Arms and won’t be the last.

An all round great lunch. Invited 2 friends from London to join us locals and they were impressed with the food and loved the pub atmosphere. Lovely and efficient staff. Thank you.

We were made more than welcome and given a perfect table for the five of us and our baby granddaughter by the fire ! Attentive and helpful service without being obtrusive! Delicious food from an excellent menu - v good wines at reasonable prices! All in all a delightful five hours to celebrate our early Christmas with the family! Cannot recommend highly enough! 👍👍👏👏🙏🙏
