   Lovely food and excellent portion sizes, the restaurant was well laid out so you did not feel like your sitting on top of people! Staff were very friendly, courteous and abliging

   I cannot praise The Bateman Arms enough We ate Christmas lunch here today and it was perfect! Lovely venue, delicious food and the best staff ever! We will definitely be back!

   We stopped by for lunch on a Saturday with the family and the food was delicious. A good variety of food to choose from, and it all arrived hot and quickly. The restaurant was rather quiet, so the ambiance was lacking slightly, but it didn't deter from the dining experience. We would definitely recommend it to others

   Plenty of choice on the menu to satisfy most tastes. Good selection of beers, ciders and wines competittively priced. Food was frehly cooked and portions substantial. Different daily offers meant already keen prices were made even better. Staff were all very friendly and the service and attention to detail excellent. If it wasn't 150 miles from home I would be a regular customer😁

   Have been several times before so know food is good even if portions too large to eat. On this occasion the service was very poor. Also bill very high for what had. Think there was probably an error on it but having asked for it three times, time was getting on so asked for it at bar, paid and left.

   Another lovely meal at The Batemans. A cold night but the pub was warm and welcoming. Menu has a good choice and a specials board too. Sausage and mash and Chicken and Ham pie were delicious.

   Really nice meal. Gammon and a mixed grill. Good size portions, food hot and served in a reasonable time too. My only gripe is that they do not take cash, which if it were Covid still I would get but not anymore. Lucky we had a credit card with us!

   4 of us decided to try the Bateman Arms as we had heard the food was very good!! All 4 of us agree that the food is Very good and we will definitely be going back again 👍

    Lovely pub, lovely atmosphere. Friendly service and food amazing! Would definitely return and recommend to others. Great communication from intial booking. Good value. Thank you
