Mushroom soup was fantastic and large enough to share. The beef duo dish was spot on. Definitely will return.

Excellent table in the back that was perhaps a little quieter, for four of us. Excellent ambience. Service was attentive, but a little slow initially( very busy Saturday evening). Appetizers were excellent. My husband ordered sole meunière, but it was halibut instead. ( he was told of the substitution). It was good, but not the flavor combo he had been anticipating. Lamb ragout, gnocchi, scallops and pork belly were delicious. It was nice to have different choices Pistachio souffle and crème brûlée were both delicious. There were a good choice of wines by the glass, and my sons liked their cocktails. Downside? It was quite loud, mostly due to a full restaurant with lots of conversation ( not due to loud background music). We will definitely go back.

We just enjoyed another fabulous dining experience at The Avery! Each time we're there it feels as if we're dining in a top NYC or Parisian restaurant but without all the fussiness, pretension, and outrageous prices. We highly recommend this Boise gem!

Food was delicious, service excellent. Loved the mushroom soup, French fries, Mary’s chicken, and Lamb Ragout. Gnocchi tasted great yet we wished for a larger portion. Loved the ambience of the historic hotel. We will be back.
