Overpriced set buffet menu, limited options for the 60 dollars. Dessert choices were also small and more designed for morning tea. The quality of the food provided was outstanding. Service was reasonable, they seemed busy and we waited 15 -20 minutes for set booking time I booked months ago.

The service was excellent. The ambiance was extraordinary. The selections for the breakfast buffet were adequate, but were lukewarm. $34 is a little pricey for just an average buffet, especially at the Ahwahnee.

They used to have menu service for Christmas dinner, which was delicious and amazing! Now, they charge $63.99 for a Christmas buffet with food that is just ok…delicious prime rib, but the salmon lacked flavor, most dishes were luke warm and the desserts were absolutely terrible. The Ahwahnee should be ashamed actually. Also, we got sat between 2 service stations and had busters and servers buzzing around us the whole time and out the window were 2 shipping containers as they are preparing for a restoration. I’ve gone to Yosemite my whole life. It pains me to leave a bad review, but guests of that beautiful historic hotel deserve better than average food at a buffet where you feel like profit is more important than the guest experience. To end on a positive note, we had a very nice server who was supported by a very nice busser….and the pianist in that gorgeous grand dining hall was superb.

We really enjoyed our experience dining at the Ahwahnee Hotel Dining Room. The food was very good and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was also very lovely with the piano playing beautifully in the background. I think my ONLY negative comment is that the food and coffee were not nice and hot, which is important to probably only me, but overall I think the experience was worth every penny.

The food was a little disappointing. Almost all of the buffet food was cold. The soup was cold and the bread was dry. The desserts were dry and stale.

We enjoyed our buffet meal with so many choices of sides, seafood and meat dishes. Of course, there was dessert too. It was a grand experience for a birthday celebration!

Because of construction at the Ahwahnee, the dinner service is BUFFET only. We did not think the food was up to par for the price. Dessert selections were poor. The prime rib was good, but that's about all. The rest of the offerings were mediocre. The construction also blocked the view in the dining room. We were prepared for this because the company sent ten plus emails and texts warning us of the construction and blocked views. But still... the price of the buffet should have reflected the diminished experience and low quality.
