For nearly 40 years, Texas Cattle Company, a family owned and operated restaurant, has been a local favorite serving only select U.S.D.A. Choice and Prime, three-year-old grain-fed beef. Texas Cattle Company steers clear of fancy cooking methods, flame-broiling our steaks on a custom built pit over a natural wood-burning fire made from Florida orange-wood and oak. Our managers cut & season our steaks daily to guarantee the absolute best tasting steaks anywhere! We also shop for the freshest local seafood and produce available to ensure that you will have an amazing dining experience.     I have been coming to this location for almost 30 years (graduate from Florida Southern College "down the street".. c/o '98). I come to Lakeland's Texas Cattle Co. for a premium event (with a little bit of Polk County flair ;) ) and have never had a bad time. The price does reflect a superior experience and to me is worth it every time I visit from the appetizers to the bread and salad to the different cuts of steak. Recommended.

    Absolutely the worst experience ever tonight. Food (steak) was dry and potatoes (fries) were burned, my hubby couldn’t even eat them. Waitress was inattentive and so very slow. Salad had the core in it and they had hardly any dressing on it and we felt like an inconvenience asking for another. She never even asked to refill our water glasses. I’ve been a Lakelander for over 40 years and this meal was the pits! Sadly it was our anniversary dinner too. Such a shame. Will not be recommending for future visits. I feel like the experience and money would have been better had we thrown it out the window. Not one manager came to our table like they used to. If they are under different management, it shows!

    Have been here several times. Never disappointed. The 2 waiters we had Ted and Tristen "TNT" were great.

    Tristen and Ted provided amazing service. They were very accommodating. If your are hungry when you get here, you won’t be when you leave. We will be back!!!

    This was our first time dining at Texas Cattle Company and we were very happy with the experience. The steaks were delicious! Tristan and Madison were our servers and they were attentive and great. We will be going back soon.

    Hadn't been there for about 10 years... We had great cocktails, appetizers, salad, bread, entres, and dessert. Service was excellent as well. Will go back sooner next time!
