   I love Lokma, so I was excited to try this restaurant by the same people, but was very disappointed. We got the tasting menu, and the portions were comically small. The cauliflower dish was 3 little florets, for example. The service was also lacking. They didn’t take our order for 20 mins after being seated. We sat with empty glasses for a long time and they never asked us if we wanted another drink. They didn’t ask us how our food was or describe the dishes. Overall the food was decent but the value is just not there. We paid $240 for 2 people and left hungry.

   Our meal was fresh and flavourful, the 7 course tasting menu was great to try a variety of Turkish and Mediterranean dishes. Servers were extremely attentive and accomodating, I never had to wait for a water refill or look around for help. The atmosphere was elevated and vibrant, I’ll be back soon!

   We had a thoroughly enjoyable experience! We did the 7-course tasting menu. The portions are small but an excellent value. Before the dessert course we added a side of flower bread and split the cauliflower soup. That topped the meal off perfectly! I would recommend adding bread at the start of the meal in case you’re worried it won’t be enough food. Everything tasted fantastic, it’s too hard to pick a favorite dish. We were seated at the chef counter with a first row seat into the kitchen. We had been walking in the rain so the heat from the oven was extra comforting. I loved the entire food journey and warm atmosphere.

   The wait staff and maître d' were super friendly, accommodating, and attentive. The food was bursting with flavor and fantastic. We sat at the counter facing the wood oven and next to where all the action was happening. Definitely a great place to see what all the other dishes look like for next time! We're travelled Istanbul and all over Turkye a couple years ago and we missed the food. Definitely did't disappoint. We'll be back again!

   Stumbled upon this and it's excellent. I was in Turkey a few months back and this is as good! But please dont get it too crowded so its hard to get in:)

   I’ve always had a great experience at Taksim but this time around was not great. A friend and I were dining and she wanted to get the tasting menu for herself. I was interested in the tasting menu as well but the menu didn’t allow for substitutions and I’m vegetarian. So, my only option was ordering a la carte but the server told us the whole table had to order the tasting menu or else none of us could get it and that they wouldn’t accommodate my dietary restriction either. If you’re not going to accommodate dietary restrictions for your tasting menu, then you shouldn’t be mandating the whole table to opt into it.

   Sensational meal! Everything was delectable, well-executed, creative. The staff was incredibly attentive, made nice suggestions, never let a water glass go empty. Taksim is a new favorite restaurant.

    Another lovely evening at Taksim: delicious dishes and great services all around! While we had the tasting menu again which was perfect in every way, sitting at the counter we could not help but noticed other beautiful plates being prepared by the staff. Even with a full stomach we already planned to go back and try more dishes!
