   From the esthetics to the food and drinks, Tako was the best experience in SD! We try a new place every week and this place is hands down the best and already making reservations to go again!

   This place was terrible unfortunately. We were so excited to go. It looks really cool when you walk in. We made it through one appetizer and it was a straight up half frozen piece of sliced tuna - was not even edible. Thayer was super nice though. He took it off the bill. We left having one bottle of sake and Adam and it was $80. All the roles are imitation crab. I don’t think they have real fish. Definitely not a sushi spot. It’s advertised.

   The sushi was very fresh and delicious but in my opinion, the DJ should not start until after 9:30 PM. That would increase the likelihood of people wanting to go for a nice dinner who maybe aren’t yet into the club vibe. But overall, a very fun experience.

   Went here for my birthday and the staff went above and beyond to make it a special night. The DJ was amazing and ambience was so fun. 10/10. I will be back!

   The sashimi and the rolls were very fresh. And Tako has some really yummy small bites. Love the crispy plantains. The DJ was excellent but be prepared as it’s not a place for quiet conversations.

   Great ambiance as soon as you walk through the door. The music was great all through dinner. Drinks and food was amazing. We had a big party and were well taken care of.

   Service was bad in terms that our server never came by. We sat with empty water cups for 15 minutes. We had to get the hostess attention to even get our server to come over. Sushi itself was pretty subpar. I think this place is trying to be for influencers with flashy decorations and DJ booth. Meanwhile forgetting to focus on what makes a restaurant actually good

    I had an amazing experience at Tako! Celebrated my birthday with my friends and we had a blast! Food was great, drinks delicious and beautiful, servers were super friendly. I’m definitely coming back! Vito was so kind and helped me to accommodate my guests in the beautiful disco ball table! My birthday was amazing! Thank you Tako!
