    Disappointing. I was told the paella was good but the blackened seared ahi was overcooked and tasteless. The “spiced ribeye” had no spice. For the money you can do better.

    1 out of 5 stars The only thing this place got right was the drink—and even that wasn’t enough to make me want to stay for another. The waitress didn’t seem to know what was actually on the menu. When the wrong food came out, no one addressed it. No apology. No correction. Just silence. The flavors were bland and uninspired. Tasted more like Red Lobster leftovers than anything worth the price point. The extra fees? A surcharge for cash or credit, plus a kitchen fee. It all feels like a way to dodge paying staff fairly—who, in this case, didn’t earn a tip anyway. Skip it. One star. Don’t waste your time or your money.

    A lovely restaurant with delicious inspired food, unfortunately we were there at the height of spring break so one large group with 6 unruly kids put a bit of a damper on the evening for the vast majority of adult diners. Food wise, we enjoyed the truffle croquettes a lot and the whiskey pork chop was tender and luscious. There’s an ok wine list and a variety of specialty cocktails. Our server, whose name I don’t get (on the short side with long pony tail) did a wonderful job despite having a lot of tables .

    We had reservations for 6:15 on a Saturday via OpenTable and it was our first time dining here. We highly recommend you consider dining here for your next special occasion or date night. Table at Poipu is a very nice restaurant, definitely on the fine dining spectrum for Kauai. The server, Bailee was very nice she immediately recognized and acknowledged that my wife and I were local guests. She took the time to make small talk and made it feel personal. When taking our appetizer plates she jokingly said “wow someone must be in the industry because you stacked the plates and silverware” which is something my wife and do but that was the first time someone acknowledged it, and yes my wife used to work in a restaurant. The food was amazing we started off with the bacon wrapped scallops and the mushroom risotto goat cheese croquettes. Which were very delicious and decently portioned for the two of us. For our entrees my wife had the blackened fresh catch and I had the ribeye, which had more than enough meat that I couldn’t finish it. For dessert we shared the Lilikoi Crème Brûlée which was delicious, we wish we could have more but we were full. We give the Table at Poipu 5/5 stars for the service, food, ambiance and overall experience!

    We were pleasantly surprised with the white table cloth ambiance and our wonderful dining choices. …the braised beef (very tender) and the seafood paella.

    It started off with a warm aloha greeting by the hostess. The wait service was friendly and attentive. The Caesar’s salad and French Onion soup were probably the best on the island. We settled for the chicken Marsala and the pork chops and both were delicious. To cap it off my wife ordered the chocolate mint dessert and I had the haupia pudding. The presentations weee beautiful and definitely something to write home about.

    The Table is now on our favorite list of restaurants on Kauai. We love the food choices (good variety) and the servers and bartenders are delightful (with a special shout out to Tessa). We thoroughly enjoyed their salads and entrees (braised beef and chicken marsala). This was one of our best meals on Kauai. Thank you!
