Our reservation was at 7:30. We were not seated until about 8:20 after asking multiple times and the manager kept coming to say the table was being cleaned. We didn’t receive our food until 9pm. We asked to be comped for the drinks 1 ea. we had ordered, instead the manager did the “free” shots of the cheapest most disgusting tequila which we poured into a water cup and left! Our regular drinks were watered down and subpar anyway especially as compared to the DC location! We didn’t even get water until about 9:30. Overall subpar service! The food was good though.

Went two years ago and food was good here..this time jollof was very bland. Snapper was burnt, dry without flavor. Salmon was basic ..nothing memorable. The DC location is wayyy better. I won't give this location a chance ever again.

It seemed the restaurant & staff were overwhelmed by the holiday crowd. The restaurant was noisy, the service was slow, the food was tasty but none of it was served warm, except the lentils which seemed to not be fully cooked. Truly disappointed.

The service was the worst I've ever had at this restaurant and some of the worst ever. We were seated right away but then waited more than 10 minutes for our server to come to the table. After taking the drink order it took another 10 minutes to get water and 30 minutes to get our drinks, at which time I was told the beer I ordered wasn't available (40 minutes or more after being seated). My wife's flaming margarita wasn't flaming. The server tried to blame the bartender but the lime which was supposed to be on fire was very clearly already burned which likely meant it sat on the bar for a while. I asked to see the manager and was told he was coming but he never did. When we were finished eating our server was nowhere to be found and we had to get another server to bring us boxes. When paying, the server reached down to select the 👍 before I could choose 👎. Sad and unprofessional. Hopefully this was a one time deal with a server not cut out for that line of work. But if not, we're done with the place despite how good the food is.
