“TONARI" Winner of the Michelin BIB Gourmand sushi bar in Tokyo.
Step into our sushi restaurant in London where elegance of Mayfair meets authentic charm of Tokyo , the neighbourhood of Mayfair is transported to the neighbourhood of Tokyo. Sushi TONARI is a modern take on the Edo period, when fishermen stood and enjoyed an omakase meal. Chef Yoshiki Hatano has nurtured a reputation, by taking the humble beginnings of sushi to the top table of dining in Tokyo and now London.
We accept reservations for lunch and dinner.
As well as our counter, there are also 200 seats available as part of our Food Court offering.

We had the Omakase fixed course menu seated at the counter which was very good and varied. As we ate early evening it wasn’t busy and the staff were very attentive and made the whole evening very enjoyable for us both.

The best Sushi I’ve had in London, hands down. The experience was incredibly personable and delicious. This was my second time in 2 weeks. I’ll definitely be back

Very noisy and uncomfortable experience for an Omakase. The whole experience is not worth it. We had to wait 30 minutes before receiving anything to eat. Service super slow. Only one Sous-Chef Sushi Master for 12 Guests. Also he loses control of time because he chats too much. Food wise ; first time ever was I given an eggplant sushi …an some other wired stuffed meat pepper. Not to be remembered experience overall. No pictures to share, was not worth to take any.

Some of the BEST sushi I’ve had. And the intimacy of the sushi bar and gracious service made the meal a 12 out of 10!!
