Bring your little chefs to Summer House for Kids Pizza Making! Every Monday to Thursday from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM, kids 12 and under can craft their own pizzas at the official pizza counter with our chefs for $7.95 plus tax (gratuity not included). Or opt for our tableside option, and have all the ingredients delivered to your table for the whole family to get in on the fun! Kids will wash their hands, use the flour to form the dough, spread their choice of red or white sauce, and build their zah with cheese and toppings of their choice. Once our team pops it in the oven, the pizza will be delivered back to your family’s table for an a-dough-able dinner. Please note, Kids Pizza Making is not offered during the weekend (Friday to Sunday).

They are one of the few restaurants in the area that has one clearly labeled vegan option (breakfast burrito). They were out of the tofu scramble that makes up the burrito but the chef was able to sauté some spinach and mushrooms in its place. It was good but lacked protein. Service is good but it’s very loud in the dining area so be prepared to repeat yourself when speaking.

Because of private events were happening, overcrowding at the rest of the restaurant was notorious, we were originally placed next to the (stinky) restroom, right in front of the kitchen (after awhile you start feeling the heat), we rejected this table and were placed on a brief wait until they gave us a table located in a great place on the Summer House side of the restaurant.

We were seated in an awkward location as people leaving often stopped near our table and talked or gathered to wait for others in their party. Our meal - the appetizers of cornbread and cauliflower were pretty good. Main dishes - fish and chips and steak frites were just good. The desserts were delisious - the blondie and the brownie with ice cream. The drinks were good, strong and expensive. All of the restaraunts are charging too much for cocktails now and it's getting out of hand. Summer House adds 3% service charge to all checks but says it will remove if asked. The waiter was friendly. I saw the restaurant's 10 year anniversary celebration on Living Local DMV and was impressed, but it's a hour drive for me, so not sure I would return.
