Succotash PRIME is a progressive perspective of classic Southern favorites. James Beard Award winner Edward Lee brings his Korean roots and Southern repertoire to a soulful Southern Steakhouse menu.

SUCCOTASH is named after the classic dish that has been a longstanding staple of the Southern table. While many know “Succotash” when they see it, the dish has been interpreted, modified, and passed from generation to generation for centuries. Our “Succotash” is special to us and we invite you to experience the South from our point of view.

Lovely, great food - though service was a bit slow in Christmas Day

When I arrived for my reservation the restaurant was not open but once the doors opened the staff was efficient and quick to assist. The deviled eggs with bacon jam was a perfect blend of sweet and savory. Our waiter was perfect, responding to menu corrections and very pleasant. I would recommend the restaurant.

We ordered many things and nothing disappointed. We tried all three devil eggs, hush puppies, firecracker shrimp, and wings for appetizers. There were only three of us and we ate all of it. For mains we had the scallops (special for the week), Rib Eye, and the chicken and waffles. All of it was fantastic. We had two chocolate desserts. The desserts were good but a bit rich.

even though we booked at 6pm, but we need to wait more than 10 mins so it would be better if they reduce waiting time for reservation

We ordered: Kentucky fried tofu - pass. It’s just fried tofu Kalbi - this was delicious and very tender Shrimp and grits - this was a bit bland Delta rice bowl with fried egg - this was uninteresting Deviled eggs pickled green tomato - very tasty Deviled eggs bacon jam - also good, this is the better of the two Hush puppies - good but not memorable Dirty chicken cobb - VERY good one of the best salads I’ve ever had It was good but not great. I would go again if others wanted but I would not be the one to recommend it. I wanted to really love this place but sadly I was unimpressed. The restaurant itself is beautiful and staff was all friendly and kind but the food was a bit disappointing.

First time here. After Capital’s game. Glad we had a reservation. Service was excellent and paced nicely. We all enjoyed our food-and was hard to decide. Popcorn shrimp appetizer was plenty to share and was very good. Also had steak, shrimp and grits, and dirty chicken. All great. Very comfortable booth table. We will be back.

We had a terrible experience at Succotash Prime. We made a 4:30 reservation and provided a credit card to make the reservation. We arrived a few minutes before 4:30 and we were told that we could not be seated because the wait staff was changing over. We waited over 15 minutes for our table. Once we were seated, they brought us water glasses but now water. We waited about 15 minutes. For our waiter to appear. He went to get water and took forever to return with water. We immediately placed our drink and food order. We waited about 20 minutes to get our drinks and our waiter did not being the correct order. Our food was brought to the table by runners, but our waiter never came to check on us. It was like he didn’t want to serve our table. After dinner we asked for dessert menus. It took the waiter about 15 minutes to get the dessert menus to us. At that point I was done. We asked for the check and then waited about 15 minutes for the check to arrive and then we had to wait while the waiter ran the credit card. We will NEVER return to this restaurant. The service was terrible. They should not accept reservations if they won’t sit you. There were plenty of open tables when we arrive. Avoid this place.

Succotash Prime was the perfect spot for brunch before going to Ford's Theater. Of course, the chicken and waffles were amazing - very crunchy and great flavor. The crab-eggs benedict and avocado toast were delicious. Exceptional service, upper-level seating felt super spacious, and the coffee and bourbon cider were just right!

Had a wonderful experience. All food was above expectations. Had several appetizers including the culinary wars special. Drinks hit the spot. Entrees were worth sharing including the catch of the day Rockfish. Our server, Wilbur, was excellent. Would definitely do this again.
