Studio Gauthier is the exciting new project from Alexis Gauthier, taking over the unique and beautiful setting of the BFI building in Fitzrovia. Beautiful velvet booths meet austere concrete and California colours with a large open kitchen to see everything the chefs are preparing. The 100% plant based menu features, for the first time, Gauthier Soho level dishes in a less formal and more wallet friendly environment, perfect for a fun evening with friends.
Also don’t miss the private, sheltered mews terrace at the back.

I had wanted to go to Studio Gauthier for a long time so booked it for my birthday, unfortunately, I was very disappointed by the experience and cannot recommend it. The restaurant was almost empty yet we were sat in a small table between two other small tables that were so close to each other that we heard the other tables conversations over ours. I had hoped for a nice atmosphere as we were prepared to (and did) spend a lot of money on food and drinks. Also the service charge was ridiculous for hardly any service, we got our food way before drinks and it was really difficult to get the waiters attention. Really disappointing and ruined my highly anticipated birthday dinner. The food was nice although the all you can eat sushi could be improved so that you could order specific sushi’s rather than whole platters. Needless to say, we didn’t stay for desserts as the experience just wasn’t nice. What a bummer but guess I just need to cough up even more money and go to Gauthier’s in Soho next time as at least that is a much better experience overall.

Marrakesh menu was excellent: well balanced and tasty! Very good service, even though the restaurant was fairly busy. Great value for money with their subscriber offer.

We dined here for their limited Marakkesh menu and it was divine! Each course looked beautiful and the flavours were exceptional. We’re still thinking about the stew! I’ve been here a few times for different menus and the food never disappoints.

Went for the second tasting menu (Marrakesh) and it was superb. Made a clear effort to stay away from mainstream foods we already know and introduce new flavours. The service is second to none; attentive, smiley and caring.

Great evening, wonderful tasting menu inspired by the tastes of Mexico City. Service was attentive by the wonderful staff, and all dishes were fully explained.

We went for a special menu (Mexican inspired), the food was wonderful and the service attentive. The only slight drawback is that we were quite near the windows to the terrace and it was a little bit cold. We will be back for more very soon!
