They are a new restaurant, so I bet with time the food and service will improve. Our steaks were overcooked and under seasoned. The salad bar and sides were very good. Service was lacking, but I think most of the servers were being trained. The wine selection was very good.

Bartender was horrible. Served wrong drink, asked for an olive, said we don’t have them. Clearly does not want to work with public. We did retro restaurant, will not return to this restaurant. Too bad had fond memories of Steak and Ale in Bloomington.

Excellent prime rib and Au jus. Very large salad bar. Great service and selection of drinks. Love the ambience and the cozy fireplace.

Salad bar could have been better. No protein, did not replace the iceberg lettuce.

Made a reservation 2 weeks in advance & they said the could seat us in a corner or quiet area which they did not. We arrived & had a choice of 2 tables by the hostess stand. One was a Hightop which I specifically indicated a lowtop or booth in a quiet corner which they confirmed "yes we can". The steak & prime rib we ordered medium both came well done & somewhat dry. Lobster tail was lukewarm to cold very quickly. Hawaain chicken again overcooked & a bit dry. We had some cake for dessert which again was on the dry side. A positive was the salad bar was included & it was very good. All in all great service but the food didn't impress our group of 4. There were more intimate & quiet seating areas in back which would of been more accommodating to my reservation request.

Gone down hill from the one that used to be here in the 80s and 90s. Menu the same but food subpar. All 3 steaks had little taste and were hard to chew. Soup order did not com before dinner entree. Will not return.

Overall, our service, especially our server, was outstanding. She really did a wonderful job taking care of our dinner. Food, on the other hand was average at best. One meal, our prime rib, ordered medium, came out rare, and the cut was very tough and chewy. It had to be sent back. Management did the right thing by taking this off our check. I wanted to have a side salad and not visit the salad bar but only a wedge/blue cheese was offered. I don't like blue cheese so I was out of luck. I'd recommend the restaurant be more open minded with salads for those of us who don't want to visit the salad bar. Will we try it again? Probably not. We tend to stay away from restaurants that can't delivery.

Friendly service, large portions, salad bar! Loaf of pumpernickel bread served on wooden board with butter with dinner. Salad bar included with dinner entrees. Cozy atmosphere, not noisy. One disappointment: lobster bisque had no lobster in it. Other than that, everything else was great. Definitely recommend and will be back.

From the steak to the salad bar it was just like I remembered about 15 years ago. Perfect. Happy to recommend for any occassion.

Salad bar was good, but not a lot of variety on it. The meals we ordered were mediocre at best. Hawaiian chicken was dry, salmon had a strange glaze on it. Asparagus was tough. Atmosphere was ok, fireplace on and a nice bar area. Probably won't return though, based on the higher prices with low quality food.
