The Star Hotel Yackandandah has been the centrepiece of the local community since 1863. A lot has changed since the Goldrush, but the Star Hotel remains a much-loved meeting place for folks looking to enjoy some time with friends over a few drinks or a delicious meal in the dining room. We love the local community atmosphere that still lives on at the Star Hotel, more than 150 years after its doors were first opened.

We ordered 2 x porterhouse steaks that were like boot leather. Staff did not care. Never again waste of money.

The Star Hotel service, politeness and enthusiasm of the staff was very good and our group enjoyed a good get-together. My meal was, however, not up to standard. The mashed potato and the other vegetables (other than greens) were very dry. Consequently, I ate only fish and broccolini. In spite of not enjoying the meal, I would still go to the Star Hotel again and order something different. It appears that the pizza was a very popular order and was enjoyed by others on our table.

Love the Star at Yack. Whenever Sydney friends visit its my go to for a lunch or dinner experience.

Fabulous place for a family get together. Outstanding service and fresh, unique and tasty food. The staff are so accommodating . I can’t speak highly enough of this place!! Go there!!!

Great little country pub. Great service. Food was decent. It was a Tuesday night so very quiet (pizza night Tuesday night too) Definitely will be back.

The menu has something for everyone. There was probably nothing on there that I wouldn’t have ordered. Decided on the chicken waffles , extra spicy. I’ll be coming back to try everything else and order that dish again. 10/10 taste and presentation. Good prices. All the staff I dealt with were pleasant. Will visit again
