Wonderful Gingerbread Tea event. Great tea, food, and activity for kids. Setting and tablescapes were beautiful. Staff was very attentive and professional. Thank you to Philippe.

Great experience! Grandson and I enjoyed ourselves immensely - tasty treats (he especially liked the grilled cheese squares), a variety of teas and other beverages, lovely atmosphere and superb service. Highly recommend!

Disorganized - could not find reservation (made in August) and I had to point it out on their seating chart. Tea was in a ballroom and lacked ambiance. Food arrived cold (must have been pre-plated and waiting). And, worst of all, diners should have been notified that this was primarily a children's tea. CHILDREN WERE ALLOWED TO RUN THROUGHOUT THE AREA, SCREECH, SCREAM, DO CARTWHEELS AND COMPLETELY DISRUPT THE AMBIANCE.

We were at Jill's for the Thanksgiving Grand Buffet, so this is not a review of the restaurant itself as ordering off of a menu might have led to a different experience. We were at the 3:00 seating - when I booked it looked as though the buffet was open until 6:00. We came to find out that 3:00 was the last seating but, "we can take our time and stay as long as we wish". The food was not that different than any holiday buffet, I thought it might be more elegant for the price. The food was warm, not hot. I realize a buffet style is difficult to keep hot but I have seen restaurants do this on a consistent basis and so wonder why the St Julien cannot achieve this level of service. Perhaps I did not read the web page thoroughly enough when deciding on Jill's, but we were disappointed that there was not full bar service, rather just pre-made prosecco drinks of various types. On walking out of the hotel we discovered the full service bar and it would have been nice for the wait staff to mention that we could go over to the bar and bring drinks back. The wait staff was good. The ambience was good in that even with a large number of people, it was easy to carry on conversation. We may give Jill's another visit but not for a buffet.

My friend and I decided to treat ourselves to the Grateful Dead brunch as we love the Dead. The band was amazing, the service was abysmal. I made a reservation, but when we got there, they couldn't find it. We were stuck way off to the side where we couldn't see the band. Our server was overwhelmed and largely unavailable. We paid $49 for an appetizer and an entree, but we waited TWO HOURS for our food to be delivered. When I said something to the manager, his response was that everyone waited two hours for their food. I expect more from the St. Julien.

Had a 1030am reservation for Mother’s Day. Called ahead that we would be late. Phillips chatted me up while they “prepared” our table. It was a picnic table in a hallway of Jill’s by an opening where staff go in and out of. I went back to Phillips and said we can’t stay. He offered the brunch for free. No. Come back for the second seating. Can’t. Have dinner on us. No. Come back for Thanksgiving. We leave Boulder this summer. As we walked away, he said, “We try to fit in as many tables as possible.” You don’t say” I don’t need a free brunch. $200 for two, thankfully is something I can afford. I dine out for the experience. So back we went to our own home and had a great meal.

We have been going to the Christmas Day Brunch for many years and always enjoy it. This year I was a little disappointed. They seemed to forget about the "B" in brunch--Breakfast. Please bring back waffles, French toast, and made to order omelets. The deserts were also a little skimpy. I'm looking forward to next year.
