   We returned after a few years for a special occasion and everything was just as good as last time. Best restaurant in St Ives by miles, simple but interesting dishes with amazing flavour cooked perfectly and friendly, down to earth service. Would highly recommend!

   St Eia is a gem of a wine bar and restaurant right near the beach in St Ives. Our family loved our lunch including our young daughter. It's fantastic to find such a nice restaurant with a kids menu. Highly highly recommended!

    So I booked this place after spotting it in an article about the best new places to eat in Cornwall. And so I was expecting great things. But whilst it's a lovely wine bar, it's by no means a restaurant. On the night we went, the menu was basically things out of a jar (olives, crisps, etc), things out of the fridge (plates of ham, pate) and things on toast (crab/cheese/tomato). It felt like nice bar snacks, but it wasn't exactly a proper dinner. Staff were charming and service was very efficient and friendly, but overall slightly disappointing on the food front.
